SOILOC - MQ™
LIQUID DUST SUPPRESSANT FOR MINES & QUARRIES (pm-10)

1.0 Material Description: Polymer:
SOILOC-MQ is an economical, liquid blend of acrylic resins. It is supplied in a milky white, highly concentrated form to be diluted with water prior to use. Dries clear. Environmentally safe. Non-corrosive to metal. Meets all requirements for non-asphaltic emulsions.

2.0 Intended Use:
SOILOC-MQ is intended to be used on mine & quarry sites. It is designed to be sprayed over disturbed soil, haul roads, sand, coal, coke, ore, lime, slag, ash & other fine powders. When dried the material forms a crusty seal reducing airborne dust (PM-10) and erosion. It can be applied with standard hydraulic equipment including hydro-sprayers & water trucks.

3.0 HAUL ROAD DUST CONTROL:

Application Method A:
(Regular watering using SOILOC-MQ concentrate as additive):

In some cases surface watering is still the best method to control dust. When repeated waterings are planned SOILOC-MQ can be applied as an additive. To water. Mix 1 gal concentrate with 500 gal water and apply at .75 gal / s.y. With repeated applications the additive will build up. This is an economical way to immediately slow evaporation, improve penetration and over time create a highly stabilized surface.

Application Method B: (Mixing & rolling):

Grade surface for positive drainage. Loosen to 1"-4" of surface material to improve penetration.
Mix 1 gal concentrate with 20 gal water and apply at .75 gal/s.y.
Roll to increase penetration and compaction.
Apply second coat: Mix 1 gal concentrate with 15 gal water and apply at .50 gal/s.y.
Roll again.
Subsequent maintenance applications can be applied following "Application Method A" above.

4.0 STOCKPILE COVER:
(Soil, sand, coal, coke, ore, lime, slag, ash, fine powders)

Application rate: Covers 1 acre:

SOILOC-MQ (Concentrate)		Water
1^st coat: 55 - 110 gal		2,000 gal
2^nd coat: 55 - 110 gal		1,500 gal
3^rd coat: 55 - 110 gal		1,000 gal

*Use above application rates as general guidelines. Use higher dilution rates for more absorbing soils.

5.0 Drying Time:
3 hours - 48 hours depending on temperature, humidity, and surface moisture content. Do not apply when temperature is below 40 degrees F or rain is imminent.

6.0 Packaging:
330 gal totes, 55 gal steel drums, 55 gal fiber drums.

7.0 Caution: HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED!

7.1 Storage: KEEP FROM FREEZING!

7.2 Clean-up:
All equipment can be cleaned with water if clean up occurs immediately after application.

LIQUID DUST SUPPRESSANT FOR HORSE TRACKS / ARENAS / STABLES / FAIRGROUNDS.

1.0 Material Description:
SOILOC-H is a feed-grade, mixed tri-glyceride emulsion. It is supplied in a liquid concentrate which is diluted with water prior to use. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: BIODEGRADABLE - NON-TOXIC TO PLANTS AND ANIMALS - CONTAINS NO CALCIUM CHLORIDE OR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.

2.0 Intended Use:
SOILOC-H is intended for safe dust suppression on horse tracks / arenas / stables / fairgrounds. When sprayed on ground surfaces it penetrates the fine particles creating sizes too heavy to become airborne. It is formulated to reduce inhalable & respirable dust. As an added benefit it helps keep the footing resilient: thus, reducing the concussion on the horses legs.

Footing surfaces: Sand & powder, sand & wood mix, sand & crumbed rubber mix, loose dirt, screenings.

3.0 Physical Properties:

Color: Pale yellow
Weight: 7.6 lbs/gal
Odor: Faint
Typical viscosities (CP): 50-70, thin
Solubility in water after dried: slightly dispersible.

4.0 Application Rates:
Dilute concentrate 1:30 with water and apply until footing is saturated to disired depth. Note: It is important to fully mix and saturate the footing for maximum distribution.

5"	5 gal/s.y.

5.0 Application Methods:
For best results the following steps are recommended:

Loosen the top 3"-5" of footing (if needed) to improve liquid penetration.
Dilute SOILOC-H concentrate 1:30 with clean water.
Apply the diluted liquid onto the footing until fully saturated full-depth. Note: It is important to mechanically turn the loose footing during application with a harrow or rake to improve penetration. (A chemical proportioner garden hose attachment is available upon request).
Let dry completely. (Full depth)
Maintain surface by dragging a harrow, rake or other similar farm implement as needed.
Some footing materials may require a re-application.

6.0 Drying Time:
1 hour - 48 hours depending on temperature, humidity, air flow and depth.

7.0 Packaging:
5 gal pails, 55 gal fiber drums, 330 gal totes.

8.0 Storage: KEEP FROM FREEZING!

9.0 Caution: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!
DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY!

10.0 Clean-up:
All equipment can be cleaned with water if cleaned immediately after application. Dried material can be cleaned with common detergent and water.
