LIQUID BAFFLE STABILIZER:
Surge baffle technology designed to
stabilize liquid movement in
partially filled tanks. For example, when coming to a stop, the
liquid will move (surge) back and forth. When the wave hits the end of the tank, it
tends to push the truck in the direction the wave is moving resulting in the
potential for an accident. When cornering, the liquid will move (surge)
from side to side pushing the truck in the direction the wave is moving
resulting in potential for a rollover.
This technology is a cost effective, industry leading
surge baffle technology designed to stabilize bulk fluids from front to back
and side to side during transport.
The evolutionary technology is currently available in
two sizes: The SurgeE1900 and the
SurgeE1575 designed for 20” and 16” manways
respectively. Surge Eliminator systems
are compatible with all tanks:
• Poly • Aluminum • Steel • Fiberglass

PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
The evolutionary liquid stabilizer is the culmination
of all previous industry developments and comes from a hands-on understanding of
the concept.
- The liquid stabilizer design rapidly locks
together in assembly without any fasteners, clips or other elements;
- It does not flex into submission under load;
- The liquid stabilizer is formed of three
interlocking rings, creates a hollow core spherical device with 12 flow
restriction ports around each ring (36 flow restriction ports in total); and
- Its strong control characteristics and integral
unit strength delivers liquid movement stabilization.
Six common concerns noted by users of competitive
devices include:
- Cumbersome and slow to assemble;
- Use mechanical fasteners and many regularly
failed;
- Cupping or collection of liquid(s);
- Too flexible/weak designs which consequently allow
baffles to crush and/or nest inside one another in the tank or break apart;
- Overstated control factors (gallons of control per
baffle) resulting in under-baffled tanks; and
- Un-economical to ship - users of one particular
device noted shipping costs were adding 15-25%.
The liquid stabilizer design, materials and
manufacturing have addressed and overcome these and other issues with
incomparable results.
- Liquid Stabilizer Systems are fully compatible
with;
Metal;
Poly; and
Fiberglass tanks.
- Designed for tanks with or without fixed baffles
or compartments; and
- Are available in two sizes: SurgeE1900
and
SurgeE1575 designed for manway sizes 20" and 16"
respectively.
Because one size does not fit all requirements we offer
two sizes as a measure of properly offering solutions to meet market
demand.
PRODUCT ASSEMBLY:
 |
Use slot
patterns to identify the 3
Liquid Stabilizer Rings
|
|
Stand
all outside ring vertically.
Slide the two inside / two outside
ring over it.
Slide an inside slot into an outside slot.
Push opposite side of ring down until
remaining two slots engage and lock.
|
|
Stand the
assembled section upright.
(intersections at bottom and top)
|
|
Place the all
inside ring over the
assembled section.
Squeeze two halves of the assembled section, slightly together.
Place them in two of the slots on the all inside
ring.
|
|
Position the
assembled section and slightly bend the all inside
ring to allow easy interlocking of the first pair of
slots.
|
|
Position the
assembled section and slightly bend the all inside
ring to allow easy interlocking of the first pair of
slots.
|
|
Position the
assembled section and slightly bend the all inside
ring to allow easy interlocking of the first pair of
slots.
|
|
Now take one
of the assembled section halves, bend it slightly and slide its
slot towards the slot on the all inside ring.
|
|
Continue this
until slots interlock.
|
|
Take the
remaining unlocked part of
the assembled section and pull it
towards the remaining slot on the
all inside ring.
Again note the bend.
Continue until slots interlock.
|
|
Liquid
Stabilizer is assembled.
