Precautions for safe handling
Store below 120º in tightly-closed containers to prevent unnecessary exposure.
Respiratory protection must be worn during cleanup. Cover spill with absorbent
material, move to open container in well-ventilated area. Treat with
decontamination solution of 93% water, 5% concentrated ammonia and 2% detergent.
Leave container open for 24-48 hours before disposing in accordance with
Federal, State and local environmental control regulations.

Extinguishing Media: Dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide and water spray.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Fire fighters should wear self-contained
breathing apparatus. During a fire, toxic gases are generated. Use water to cool
fire exposed containers. Eliminate all sources of ignition.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: None.
Hazardous Polymerization: Conditions to avoid: Exposure to temperatures above
400ºF, contact with materials listed under “Incompatibility”.
Health Hazard Data: Inhalation of excessive concentrations of vapors or mists
may cause irritation of the nose, throat, eyes and skin. Some individuals may
develop isocyanate hypersensitization. Symptoms may be delayed as much as 8
hours. If contact with eyes occur, flush immediately (remove contact lenses if
applicable), seek medical attention. Crystalline silica (quartz) may cause
abrasion of the cornea. Silica is classified as a probable human carcinogen.
Signs and Symptoms of Exposure:
Fatigue, dizziness, nausea, headache, tearing, blurred vision, an allergic
sensitivity producing reddening, swelling or blistering of the skin. Medical
conditions generally aggravated by exposure include pre-existing unspecified
bronchial hypersensitivity and potentially, any allergies.
