Percol Elastic Cement/Concrete Welder - Concrete RepairTo repair concrete, two thin liquids are combined in equal volumes then flooded over aggregate:  In less than two minutes the liquids solidify; in ten minutes, repairs support traffic.  Rapid repairs with Elastic Cement and Concrete Welder are 4 to 10 times faster than conventional concrete repairs.

Elastic Cement provides a long lasting flexible repair where vibration and movement is encountered.  Concrete Welder (a very thin liquid) is used in wide and narrow cracks, and in spalls to provide high compressive strength repairs.

Product Description
 

PERCOL Elastic Cement, with aggregates forms a high performance, rapid setting polymer concrete.  Within ten minutes of placement, durable, long lasting repairs (that withstand vibration, heavy traffic loads, and thermal movement) are ready for traffic. Solidifies in  less than two minutes... The reaction is fast.  Thin, equal volume, "A" and "B" side liquids are metered, combined, and pumped through PERCOL dual component dispensing equipment.  The reactive mix is PERCOLated over  aggregates and solidifies in less than two minutes.  It cures to a flexible polymer concrete suitable for spall and pothole repair, matching grades, smoothing rough pavements, and eliminating rutting.  Feathered repairs provide transition for mismatching grades of adjacent slabs.  Thin overlays easily formed... Concrete damaged by overloading, freeze/thaw spalling, or fires is easily resurfaced.  Decks are sealed and waterproofed.  High traction surfaces are easily created.

Safe to Use, No Odor PERCOL Elastic Cement has a high flash point, contains no peroxides or heavy metals, and is odorless.  There are no toxic fumes during application.

PACKAGING 

"A" and "B" components are packaged in equal volumes in 55 gallon drums, 15 gallon barrels, or 5 gallon pails.  Shelf life is 12 months in unopened containers stored indoors.  For small jobs apply PERCOL Elastic Cement from 21 or 53 ounce cartridge kits with hand operated dispensing guns.

 INSTRUCTIONS

Read Material Safety Data and the Installation Instructions before using product.  PERCOL Elastic Cement can be used in summer or winter.  For best performance, install at 20 degrees F. to 100 degrees F. ambient temperature and 60-80 degrees F. material temperature.  Do not apply during rain or on wet surfaces.

BULK APPLICATION EQUIPMENT 

PERCOL dual proportioning system transfers, meters, mixes and applies PERCOL Elastic Cement.  "A" and "B" components are transferred from drums, through the proportioning pumps, (1:1 ratio) to the dispensing gun.  Material is mixed at the gun, then dispensed into the concrete surface to be repaired.

 PERCOL ELASTIC CEMENT APPLICATIONS

Spall & Pot Hole Repair
  1. Remove loose and unsound concrete by jack-hammering.
  2. Blow out dust with dry compressed air.
  3. Fill with clean, dry, dust-free crushed rock to grade.
  4. Flood with PERCOL Elastic Cement.
  5. Broadcast dry sand for high traction surface and to match deck appearance.
Bridge Deck Overlay Repair
  1. Saw cut damaged overlay and remove.
  2. Sandblast deck surface.
  3. Place crushed aggregate level to surface
  4. Flood with PERCOL Elastic Cement.
  5. Broadcast dry manufactured sand to match deck texture.
Bridge Deck Overlays
  1. Repair spalls and cracks.
  2. Shot blast deck to clean deck surface and expose aggregate.
  3. Spray 30 - 40 mils of PERCOL Elastic Cement & cover with uniformly graded, clean, dry aggregate (3/16" to 1/4").
  4. Remove excess aggregate.  Cover first aggregate layer with PERCOL Elastic Cement then cover again with aggregate.
  5. Remove excess aggregate
  6. Cover with light coat of PERCOL ELASTIC CEMENT to secure aggregate.
Restoring Traffic
  • With PERCOL Elastic Cement, traffic can resume within 10 minutes of completion of work

Product Description

PERCOL  Concrete Welder rebonds cracked concrete.  This thin, penetrating polymer is applied with the PERCAT Vari-Flo or from twin-pack cartridges.  Concrete Welder restores concrete  strength by penetrating and rebonding cracks.  Large cracks are sand filled then saturated with Concrete Welder to form a high strength polymer concrete.

Chemically Resistant - Resists dilute acids and alkalis.  Unaffected by salts, gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricating oils, or antifreeze.  Fuel & oil drips from vehicles will not penetrate treated areas.

Large Crack Repair
  1. Remove loose and unsound material.
  2. Blow crack clean with dry compressed air.
  3. Fill crack with 50 mesh or larger sand..
  4. Flood crack with PERCOL Concrete Welder.
  5. For a skid proof surface, top with sand..
Hairline Crack Repair
  1. Blow out cracks with dry compressed air.
  2. Flood with PERCOL Concrete Welder.
  3. Broadcast clean, dry, uniformly graded san on uncured liquid for high traction surface.
Spider Cracks
  1. Shot blast or sand blast deck surface.
  2. Flood deck with PERCOL Concrete Welder at the rate of one gallon per 100 square feet.
  3. Immediately broadcast sand to refusal into the uncured liquid.
  4. When cured sweep off excess sand..
Restoring Traffic
