IDENTIFICATION
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a thermoplastic material comprised of PVC resin, plasticizers, stabilization and oxidation agents which are compounded into a flexible sheet designed specifically for the rigorous demands of environmental containment.
A PROVEN HISTORY OF PERFORMANCE
PVC has the most extensive use history as it was introduced during the 1950's and has been used in many other industries and applications - swimming pools, liners and covers, medical bags, outdoor awnings, etc. PVC has become the "workhorse" of the environmental containment industry due to its cost efficiency, long-term service life and ease of installation. It is available in a range of thickness from .010" to .060" and is normally covered as a standard construction practice with minimum 12 inches of clean fill earth to protect against mechanical damage and long-term ultraviolet degradation.
FACTORY FABRICATED PANELS
Customized panel's mean lower installation costs. PVC panels can be made in the factory in sizes ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 square feet. This means that the number of field seams can be decreased by as much as 80% resulting in lower installation time and reduced labor requirements compared to other liner systems. Customized panels are particularly helpful in irregular shaped installations, cutting material waste and dramatically reducing the number of field seams. Pallets of PVC panels can be strategically placed on site, speeding up the installation process even more.
