FHWA SELECTION GUIDE

The Federal Highway Administration has created a specification based on (6) applications: Subsurface Drainage, Separation, Stabilization, Permanent Erosion Control, Temporary Silt Fence and Paving Fabric. These applications are then broken down into Types which identify geotextile construction (woven or nonwoven) and required strength properties. Below is a guide to help you decide which products are required for the FHWA project you are bidding.
