GeoBarrier Gas Barriers
GeoBarrier and GeoVapor gas barriers are used on many brownfield sites that are contaminated from activities previously undertaken at the site. In January of 2002, the Brownfields Revitalization and Environmental Restoration Act of 2001, in conjunction with small business liability protection, was signed into law to promote and encourage the cleanup and revitalization of Brownfields. GeoCHEM, Inc. provides innovative solutions with engineered gas barrier geomembrane liners to prevent gases and VOCs from migrating up into the environment.
The GeoBarrier line is made from state of the art polyethylene and premium EVOH barrier resins providing unmatched impact strength and superior resistance to gas transmission and VOCs. GeoBarrier geomembranes are highly resilient and are designed to restrict naturally occurring gases such as methane, radon, and dangerous VOCs such as gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene and many others from migrating through the ground and concrete slab. We can help design a custom barrier membrane for projects requiring specific criteria when meeting minimum order amounts.
High Performance GeoBarrier EVOH Series:
Superior impact and puncture strength, Outstanding barrier characteristics, Blocks odors, methane and VOCs, Excellent tear resistance, Flexible and conforming
GeoVapor Gas Barrier
GeoVapor line of membranes are an under concrete slab gas barrier system with superior resistance to gas offering 200 times more protection against methane and other VOCs than premium polyethylene barriers. GeoVapor meets all requirements of ASTM E-1745, Class A, B & C and is produced under the strict guidelines of ISO 9001 certified management system. GeoBarrier is available in 20 Mil (10' x 150') roll along with the select accessory items recommended. Accessory items include (GeoVaporSeal Tape) seaming tape, (Butyl Seal Tape) double sided perimeter tape, and (VaporBoot Kit) pipe boot kits as well as our multipipe penetration epoxy (PourNSeal) to provide a complete and thorough system of protection against gas and moisture migration.
