The Story Behind the Name: "Dopey Soup"

While the performance is strictly industrial, the name has a legendary Hollywood origin. Originally developed for Disney’s film production of Something Wicked This Way Comes, Disney’s art directors needed a material that was fast-setting, fume-free for studio use, and flexible enough to be cast into intricate molds (including figures of Mickey Mouse and Dopey). Because the polymer was so easy to work with and performed so reliably in the studio, the name "Dopey Soup" stuck. Today, we market it under this name as a testament to its safety, ease of use, and professional-grade versatility.

Technical Installation Guidelines

1. Surface Preparation: Remove all loose or unsound material. Clear the repair zone with dry compressed air. Note: Surfaces must be completely dry.

2. Aggregate Infill: Fill the void to grade with clean, dry crushed rock or Black Rock aggregate.

3. Mixing & Application: Combine equal volumes of "A" and "B" liquid polymers. Mix thoroughly and allow the material to warm slightly before pouring over the pre-placed aggregate.

4. Final Finish: Broadcast Concrete Topping Sand over the uncured liquid to match the surrounding deck appearance and ensure a high-traction surface.
