Percol Elastic Cement Machine Dispensed PolymerPercol Elastic Cement: High-Performance Structural Concrete Restoration

Engineered Flexibility for Rapid-Setting Bridge Deck and Infrastructure Repair

Percol Elastic Cement is a premier, machine-dispensed polymer engineered to create high-performance, flexible polymer concrete. When metered and pumped through Percol dual-component dispensing equipment, the reactive "A" and "B" components effectively "percolate" through pre-placed aggregates to form a rapid-setting structural repair. Within 10 minutes, the repair is ready to withstand heavy traffic loads, high-frequency vibration, and thermal expansion—making it the industrial standard for spall repair, structural overlays, and pavement stabilization.

The Engineering Advantage: Structural Resilience

  • Elastic Load Distribution: Designed with high elongation properties to act as a structural shock absorber, distributing energy from heavy axle loads and preventing delamination.

  • Rapid-Set Infrastructure Restoration: Solidifies in less than 2 minutes and achieves full traffic readiness in under 10 minutes, minimizing lane closures and operational downtime.

  • Primerless Monolithic Bond: High-strength adhesion to concrete, steel, and wood without the requirement of separate bonding agents.

  • Waterproof & Anti-Corrosive: Creates an impermeable barrier that seals decks from moisture and prevents the corrosion of reinforcing steel (rebar).

  • Extreme Climate Performance: Successfully deployed year-round, maintaining performance in both sub-freezing winters and high-heat summer environments.

  • Industrial Safety Profile: Odorless and non-toxic during application; features a high flash point with no peroxides or heavy metals.

Primary Industrial Applications

  • Spall & Pothole Reconstruction: Rapid restoration of structural voids in highways, runways, and loading docks.

  • Bridge Deck Overlay Systems: Comprehensive resurfacing of damaged decks to restore ride quality and waterproof the structure.

  • Mismatched Slab Leveling: Creating feathered transitions between adjacent slabs to eliminate trip hazards and equipment damage.

  • Expansion Joint & Header Repair: High-performance nosing for bridge joints and armored headers.

Technical Application Guidelines

Spall & Structural Void Restoration

  1. Preparation: Remove unsound concrete. Decontaminate and dry the repair zone using dry compressed air.

  2. Aggregate Matrix: Fill the void to grade with clean, dry, dust-free crushed rock.

  3. Machine Dispensing: Utilize Percol Dual Proportioning Systems (1:1 ratio) to flood the aggregate matrix.

  4. Safety Finish: Broadcast Asphalt or Concrete Topping Sand for a high-traction, anti-skid surface.

Bridge Deck Multi-Layer Overlays

  • System Process: Shot-blast the deck, apply 30–40 mils of Elastic Cement, and cover with clean aggregate. Repeat the process to achieve the specified thickness, finishing with a final securing coat of polymer.
